Code Geass {{Cornelia li Britannia}}

Cornelia li Britannia.
Highly skilled.
Extremely loyal.
Second princess.

I loved her character. I love strong female characters because I feel like we don't get much of them in shows. Cornelia was not only strong, she was a fighter. She knew how to use that strength to her advantage.

The way the first time we see her is her establishig a new Area is simply genius. It shows us, right off the bat, just how skilled she is in combat, how much foreigners fear her, how much her own men respect her. It shows that her father trusts her enough to have her be the one to go in when setting up a new Area. It shows she knows how to lead men, how to strike fear, and how not to hold back. She truly is an amazing princess, isn't she?

And we know just how much she loves and cares about her siblings because after she hears about Clovis's death, she heads straight for Area 11 and the only thing on her mind is the capture and kill of the masked murderer, Zero. She set herself up in Area 11 and things started getting all organized right away, now didn't they? No one wanted to be on Cornelia's bad side, because unlike Clovis, she was wlling to shoot you down as punishment for disloyalty and disobedience ;) Her love for Euphemia was also a sweet thing. She comes off as a rather Olivier Mira Armstrong-like character. And Olivier didn't care on bit about Alex until he save her life. Euphie probably was never strong enough or skilled enough to be able to save Neli's life. In fact, Neli was often looking out for her. Yet, Cornelia loved her little above all else. Though, this love tended to be a weakness, Neli's only one.

She's so dang regal looking with her royal dress and all. And just look at how those men stand at attention for her ;) No one wants to cross Cornelia li Britannia.

And I absolutely love the way she is among the only four people to have ever been a matc for Lelouch vi Britanna [Schneizel, Li Xingke, && Suzaku]. The way she sets things up in Narita to be like the Shinjouku thing was simply genius. And then how she seems able to outmaneuver him? And the scene where he's in one of the Britannian Knightmare frames and she completely has him cornered? He was freaking out in there, not knowing what to do next. If it weren't for C.C., Neli would soo have caught he infamous Zero on her first try ;)

 I felt so terribly sad for her after dear Euphie's death. That would have been SUCH a blow to Neli. Poor dear, losing herone prized and loved sibling. I mean, none of the others were even worth her time, were they? She was so heart-broken...And yet, I applaud her on going to such lengths to find out the truth behind why Euphie did what she did at the end and to clear her dear sister's name.

So, when Lelouch nearly kills Neli and uses his Geass o her to get her information, I seriousl thought she died here. because we don't see anything of her again until she makes her little comeback in the second season. So I was really sad here because I thought we were losing another reall strong character. So I was glad when she came back ;) Anyways, I loved how she let go of her hatred of non-pure-Britannians [the same way Viletta and Orange-kun had to] and allowed herself to trust Suzaku, as well as make him an official knight. That was just amazing. Though, Neli's trust in im, as well as his experiences with Euphie, were probably the driving forces behind why Suzaku helped Emperor Charles. because I highly doubt he would have even considered becoming a Knight of the Round before meeting Euphie because of the fact that it was Charles who destroyed Japan and took Nunnally and Lelouch away from him.

Speaking of her come back ;) My favorite part about her return in season two was definitely her new hairstyle ;D I loed the looser and free-er style. It mirrored her abandonment of the royal throne and her readiness to fight for what she knew was right. I love the way she is still ready to fight for her own right as well as to clear Euphie's name. She finds out all abut the Geass Directorate, though, what she does with the information rather bugs me. Why in the world does she turn to Schneizel? All her brothers are useless to her, hasn't she learned that yet from what happened with Lelou? Though, I guess I can't blame her. She has a strong sence of family trust and love. She cares about her brothers and sisters more than anything else. She would rather die than believe any one of them could do her wrong. Whic is probably why she was so adamant in wanting to know what went wrong with Euphie. And why se was sorely mistaken when dealing with Lelouch and Sneizel. I felt so bad for her, because half of the reason she went to Area 11 in the first place was to take revene for Lelouch and Nunnally's deaths as well. And then she finds out that not only are they not dead, but the older one was the reason Clovis is.

And then she leaves Sneizel. Which brings us to near-death-number-two. Not only does she survive Lelou's attack at the end of season one, but Neli is made of STEEL and she survives beinggunned down by Sneizel as wel ;) I was actually CERTAiN she die there. But, alas, she shows up again in the hospital, reunited with the love o her life, Guilford. And no one bothers to ask what happened to dearest Dalton ;]

I found it so cute how Dalton and Guilford were always ready to lay down their lives for their princess. The three of them were cuties, always working together, and being such a bad-A team together ;)

 At the end when Neli is leaidng the very few people left that were smart enough to have stayed hidden when Lelou came to power I was so rooting her on. Neli, Viletta, Zhou, Guilford, and...Minami? Haha, I don't know why, but he seems so dang RANDOM on being there wih them. I mean, the four others so leading characters that we see a lot of. Neli, for obvious rasons, Viletta for her involvement with Ougi, Zhou for being Li's girlfriend [ ;) ], and Guilford for being Neli's boyfriend. But Minami was just another soldier under Ougi's command like Inoue and Kento and all that we don't see anything of. I don't know, I just found it ratherfunny that he would be on of the liberators in this scene ;]

<<-- Sorry, just HAD to have this picture in here ;D
Don't you just love her as a little teenager?
